What is Entertaiment?
Entertaiment, a form of recreation, can be as simple as clowns at children’s birthday parties or as grand as stadium rock concerts. It can relieve stress and anxiety, build self-esteem, encourage communication skills and promote friendships. It can be as passive as watching TV or as active as playing sports or games.
Bates and Ferri (2010)
entertainment is understood objectively, communicates between text and audience from external stimulus, offers pleasure, requires an audience and occurs in a passive form.
