For more than 130 years, the Yale Daily News has served as the primary source of news for students at the University of Yale. The paper has published the Sunday News and has provided coverage of local news, events and issues. In addition to its print edition, the Yale Daily News has provided digital versions for mobile and computer users. Its interactive editions are the most convenient and effective way to read the newspaper.
New York Daily News started publishing in 1919 as the Illustrated Daily News, an early precursor to the Los Angeles Mirror and the Los Angeles Times. Over the next several decades, it gained a large audience and built a reputation for its investigative journalism. Many of its student contributors went on to a career in journalism and public life.
The New York Daily News also had a strong sports section. The paper focused on social intrigue and political wrongdoing. It was a staunchly conservative paper for many years.
